Yonah Yoga has reopened and is taking the best known precautions and procedures. We are doing everything we can do to make your yoga experience the best it can be while keeping healthy & well. Thank you for your love & support.
Here are the basics:
Stay home if you have a fever, cough, sniffles, or are otherwise ill.
Wash or sanitize your hands before class.
Bring your own yoga mat & props.
Space is limited. Pre-Register & Pre-Pay for class HERE
If you have a yogi pass, please email Charlene at to reserve your space. Drop-Ins not recommended during this time. If space is available, you are welcome, but if class is full, you may not be able to attend. We'd hate to send you away so please pre-register!
Place your mat on a designated spot and stay on it throughout the class.
Bring as few personal items as possible into the space. There will not be anywhere for you to store your belongings.
Turn OFF or silence your phone or smartwatches.
Remove your shoes before entering the studio, and place them on provided shoe rack or on the ground outside of the studio.
Once you pick up your belongings (yoga mat, props, etc.), please don't set them down again in the communal areas.
Cover your mouth if you cough or sneeze, and then wash your hands.
Avoid unnecessary personal contact or touching.
Please keep proper physical distance.
Please bring your own water. Water will not be available at this time.
Upon entry of the studio, please wear your mask. If you don't want to wear your mask, please stand outside of the perimeter of the building until I kindly wave you in. :) You will need to remove your shoes outside and place them either on the ground or provided shoe rack outside the door. Please be mindful of the space your peers may prefer.
You’ll then wait in line (at an appropriate distance) until you can verbally check in and have your temperature taken. Then you’ll have a chance to use the restroom or enter the practice space. You will be given a designated spot to practice, and once you roll out your yoga mat, and are set, feel free to take your mask off. You are welcome to leave it on during the practice. Each designated space is 6 ft + a part from the yogi that is next to you.
That is basically it! Below are more questions that you may have, but as always, feel free to reach out with any other questions/concerns that you may have.
Why did Yonah Yoga wait to reopen?
We are in the health and wellness business. And part of that meant keeping our studios closed for in-person classes to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
What about Zoom recorded & pre-recorded classes?
We will continue to record Zoom classes. If no one signs up for the Zoom class, there will not be a recording available. Please be sure to register for this an hour before.
Are you doing extra cleaning?
Absolutely! The studio will be cleaned before & after each class.
Have any changes been made around the studio?
Yes. The studio has less furniture out, and all the supplies and equipment have been moved to the back closet. The way that the class will be facing is also in the opposite direction. We’ve also deep cleaned and sanitized everything.
Are you taking temperatures?
Yes. During verbal check-in, we will be taking your temperature to ensure you do not have a fever.
How many people are in each class?
To ensure safety, we’ve limited classes in the main studio to 8 maximum.
Are we able to use the studio props?
Not right now. We can’t confidently do that safely yet. But we will start to use them as soon as we can. You’re always welcome to bring your own props from home if you’d like. We will have props for sale at the studio.
Do I have to wear a mask in class?
No. But we do require that you wear a mask in the rest of the studio and traveling to and from the studio. Our team will be wearing masks around the studio, except when teaching.
Can I still use a studio mat or props?
It is not recommended so please bring your own. If you need to use a props, mats, equipment, there will be a fee.
Can I come before class or stay after to hang out?
No. We ask that you arrive 10 minutes before class time. We will open the doors 20 minutes before class time. After class, please gather your belongings and exit the studio in a timely fashion to avoid prolonged exposure. Feel free to hang out outside to hang and talk with your fellow yogis!
What if I don’t show up to a class I registered for?
Like late cancelling, no showing is taking a spot from another yogi. You will be charged the deposit amount, or $10.
How far in advance can I register for class?
7 days in advance. Please sign up at your earliest convenience, as space may fill up quickly.
Are you doing hands-on adjustments?
No. Our studio already was pretty limited with hands-on adjustments, but right now our teachers aren’t allowed to do them at all.
